May is the season of blooming flowers, and the breeze is not dry, full of vitality. On the bank of the Yangtze River surrounded by clear water, we ushered in the water operation ceremony of "Ou Yang 008".

At 6:58 a.m. on May 24, 2023, Ou Yang's fourth-generation OY-SEU800 series Wind Turbine Installation Vessel "Ou Yang 008" designed and built by Shanghai Ou Yang Offshore Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Ou Yang Offshore Engineering) was successfully put into water in Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (Dajin Heavy Industry).

This vessel is the fourth ship of this series of ship types. It is independently developed and designed by Ou Yang Offshore Engineering. It is a new generation of deep-sea jack-up wind power installation, operation and maintenance vessel customized for China's "14th Five-Year Plan" offshore wind power market. It has high reliability, high economy, and high adaptability of various models and types of sea areas. It can meet the installation and operation needs of deep-sea wind turbines under the complex sea conditions and comprehensive submarine geological conditions in the era of offshore wind power parity. The vessel has the ability to to install, operate and maintain 16MW offshore wind turbines, and is suitable for far-reaching sea wind farms in Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang and other sea areas. It is equipped with the first intelligent management system for Wind Turbine Installation Vessels in China, and can be operated and managed through the ship-shore integrated digital center and decision support, which improves the safety and efficiency of vessel operation.

The smooth water connection of "Ou Yang 008" has laid a good foundation for the smooth progress of the follow-up work. After the water connection, the ship will carry out the docking of the upper pile legs at the wharf, and the system commissioning will also be conducted one after another.
