At 10:18 am on April 28, on the bank of the Yangtze River with the spring breeze, colorful flags fluttered and gongs and drums sounded in unison. The 118-meter deck transport ship, ordered by Shanghai Ou Yang Ocean Engineering Co., Ltd. as the ship owner, and Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. as the builder, held a grand groundbreaking ceremony in Xilaiqiao Town, Yangzhong City. Accompanied by warm applause and cheers from the guests at the scene, the leaders of Ou Yang Offshore Engineering, Dajin Heavy Industry and CCS jointly pressed the ignition button of the CNC steel plate cutting machine, completed the first steel plate cutting for the ship, and officially announced that the project has entered the stage of real ship construction in an all-round way.
The 118-meter deck transport ship project is the first cooperation between Shanghai Ou Yang Offshore Engineering and Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry. It is also the forward-looking layout of Ou Yang Offshore Engineering in this field after continuously placing orders for multiple offshore Wind Turbine Installation Vessels. The establishment of this fleet will be of great strategic significance for Ou Yang Offshore Engineering to continue to consolidate its leading position as an overall solution provider for domestic offshore wind power installation, and will also help Ou Yang Offshore Engineering, which is committed to deeply cultivating the offshore wind power market, to lay a more solid foundation for achieving the high-quality and sustainable development goals.
It is hoped that all parties will jointly build and share, communicate and trust each other, and make joint efforts to realize the successful delivery of the 118-meter deck transport ship.
